Despite the endless amount of crits i have sat through as an architecture student, today's was the most insightful and interesting by far.
A breath of fresh air if you ask me.
A new, creative way to share ideas via a different medium with bunch of highly insightful sociologically and philosophically minded young people....this is what fifth year should be, a burst of inspiration.
The feeling is somewhat foreign, as I have never been able to see the (up till now) mundane tasks or site analysis as exciting, challenging and inspiring.
This project is real, yet the angle taken via our methodology used for research in anticipation of our hospital design is unique. It finally looks at designing in the way i want to as an architect. Its fun in that it asks us to move out of the square of shadow diagrams and drawing boards....
BRING IT ON!!!!

so with you there! dead chuffed that we're not going through the same steps again. i wasn't looking forward to this year, but i think i can get swept up in this.
re crits, speficfically YOU, i really think that despite how you say you find them tedious you should get yourself onto a first year jury or something. you're pretty sharp - i appreciated it a lot last semester :)
