Below is a link to a biometric technology application that is being trialled at the same aged care facility that Jules and I visited a few weeks ago. This application is somewhat similar to the stuff we saw in melb last week.

"Montefiore's system is a drugs trolley equipped with a tablet PC loaded with medication management delivery software. When idle, they are returned to a docking station, updated by TeleMedCare's web-hosting service.

A second pilot is planned at another NSW aged care facility where the system will be connected wirelessly to the web hosting service, so that medication information is updated in real time."
